The Utah Sportbike Association (USBA) held a six-round championship for its 2016 season for the Vortex Masters of the Mountains series.
With outstanding leadership from President Scott Rybarik, as well as Vice President Brad Moore, Secretary Chris Canada, Treasurer Danny Egbert, Competition Director Shane White and Membership Director Donovon Mortensen, the series was professionally operated, with good-sized fields and great racing.
Coming off of his first win of the season yesterday, second-year driver Noah Gragson of Las Vegas made it two in a row with another NASCAR K&N Pro Series West victory on Sunday at Utah Motorsports Campus, albeit not without some controversy.
Eighteen-year-old Noah Gragson of Las Vegas grabbed his first NASCAR K&N Pro Series West victory of the season – and the third of his two-year career – on Saturday afternoon at Utah Motorsports Campus. In the first of two races on the weekend, Gragson’s No. 7 Speed Vegas/Alert ID/Colliers International Ford Fusion posted a 1.086-second margin of victory over the No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts Toyota Camry of series points leader Todd Gilliland.
