Utah’s newest big car show will launch this weekend, May 27-28, as Utah Motorsports Campus hosts the inaugural Cruzer Palooza Car Show.
Fun for the whole family at Cruzer Palooza
“Our facility is 511 acres in size,” said UMC General Manager Willem Geyer, “and we are always looking for good ways to utilize all this space. Over the years, many people have suggested we do a car show, and so we are launching what we hope will be an annual tradition for Utah’s car enthusiasts.”
In addition to hundreds of classic and custom cars, there will be indoor and outdoor swap meets, a Burn-Out Contest presented by Discount Tire, Parade Laps during which fans can drive their street cars on the racetrack behind a pace car, a Kid Zone, live music, food trucks and numerous vendors. In addition, the UMC Kart Track will be open all day for kart rentals.
As a special treat for fans, UMC-based DXDT Racing will offer hot laps on the racetrack in their Nissan 350Z race cars at 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm on Saturday and at 12:00 pm on Sunday. Rides are priced at $75, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Tooele Children’s Justice Center. Tickets will be available at the UMC Retail Tent in the East Paddock near the Main Gate.
The Fast Track Café will be open for lunch both days and the Rodizio Grill will be open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights as well as Sunday brunch.
Tickets for this weekend are priced at only $5/day for adults, with kids 12 and under admitted free of charge. RV parking is available as well.
