Where is Utah Motorsports Campus?

Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) is in Tooele County, Utah, just 30 minutes from Downtown Salt Lake City, between Tooele, Grantsville and Stansbury Park. The physical address is 512 S. Sheep Lane, Grantsville, UT 84074. Our phone number is 435-277-8000. Our website is www.UtahMotorsportsCampus.com. We are also active on Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.

How long has UMC been open? How long did it take to build?

Utah Motorsports Campus was formerly known as Miller Motorsports Park. Ground-breaking on Miller Motorsports Park took place on April 26, 2005 and the facility opened for its first track-day event on April 1, 2006.

2. Drifting

What kind of racing do you have there?

Our past and present events include some of the most prestigious car and motorcycle racing series in the world. This season, we are hosting the Pirelli World Challenge as well as the MotoAmerica Superbike Challenge and the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. In addition we host a variety of other professional and amateur racing series for both automobiles and motorcycles. We also have amateur and professional kart racing at the UMC Kart Center.

When do you have races?

Our racing season generally begins in April and runs through October. With very few exceptions, we have some sort of racing taking place every weekend during those months. Browse this website to see our detailed schedule of events and information about those events.

3. Mini-Moto

Is the track designed to run clockwise or counter-clockwise?

The track is designed to run counter-clockwise. Due to safety considerations and the placement of protective barriers and walls/curbing, this is the only direction the main track can be run. The Kart Center (karting), on the other hand, can be run in either direction.

What happens at the track during the week?

During most weeks, Monday through Thursday, the track is rented to various clients, including driving/riding schools, track-day operators, race teams who want to test, manufacturers who want to shoot commercials or photography. Unless it is a private, restricted activity, admission is usually FREE to EVERYONE on these days.

4. Group Events

How much are tickets?

Tickets vary depending upon event. Check the event pages for more detail or contact the box office. Contact the Box Office at 435-277-RACE (7223) or browse this website for information relating to each event.

What access does my ticket give me?

The basic ticket available for all events is a general admission ticket. This allows you to sit in any of the covered grandstand complexes, which total over 8,000 seats. Grandstands are numbered 1–8 starting in the paddock and running counter-clockwise around the track. Grandstands 3 and 4 are located at the short course.  For ALL our race weekends our policy is anyone with a general admission ticket can sit in any grandstand (first-come, first-seated). Your ticket also allows you to sit or stand at the fence line that surrounds the track. You are welcome to bring your own folding chair, cushions or blankets, but please do not bring a pop-up tent, any form of scaffolding nor home-built grandstand structure as our insurance requires that we not allow these on site.

5. Room Rentals

What are the ticket prices for children?

General Admission tickets are FREE for children 12 and under to all our events. Contact our Box Office at 435-277-RACE (7223) for more information.

Where do I pick up Will Call tickets?

For major events, Will Call tickets may be picked up in our Box Office located on the first floor of the Administration Building directly north of the Main Gate. For all other events, Will Call tickets may be picked up at the Security Office directly south of the Main Gate.

6. WOW

Where do I pick up credentials/tickets if I am a guest of a team or crewmember?

For sanctioning bodies, credentials can be picked in the large room across from the Box Office on the first floor of the Administration Building (to the right as you enter the building).

Do you have a photo pass or super photo pass available?

Not at this time, but it is something we are working on. However, you may not need one; we have been called one of the most photo-friendly race tracks in the country by the professional motorsports photographers who travel from track to track. Even without a photo credential, the photography opportunities from our grandstands and raised berms are magnificent; just bring long lenses because this is a big place!

7. Safety

What is the difference between "pit" and "paddock" passes?

In road racing, a pit pass is a very special, limited-access credential that requires special insurance waivers to be signed and is really only for participants, media and officials; it is like being courtside during a NBA game. The paddock pass is what other forms of racing call a pit pass, and gives everyone access to the area where the teams park, work on their cars/bikes and relax between races. Most tracks charge extra for this pass, but at UMC paddock passes are not necessary because paddock access is FREE to anyone who holds a ticket to get into the event.

Where do I park?

We have over 50 acres of all-weather gravel parking. Lots A and B are used for general parking. Please call 435-277-RACE (7223) for parking pricing during feature events.
