Why Beer & Fear Fest (BFF) is the Best Oktoberfest Event You’ll Go To

We’ve finally entered the Ber months, and that means we’re a month closer to one of the most celebrated events of the year — Oktoberfest. But besides the booze and beer that will surely overflow in any event, our Beer and Fear Fest (BFF) has won the crown for its unique concept.

The Beer & Fear Fest is the perfect marriage of a beer event and a Halloween-themed festival. Think of it as the traditional Oktoberfest event meets Nightmare on Elm Street (or whatever spooky horror movie you have in mind) — doesn’t that sound so thrilling?

This year, BFF will be held on the first four weekends of October, giving you weekends filled with beer and horror. At the BFF, different brews will garner the spotlight as a local craft to imported brews will share the stage, alongside haunted drive-in movies, monster trucks, haunted walk thru, and other spooky musings you could think of!

Although there will be beer during the event, your whole family and attendees of all ages can enjoy the festival, making it a family-friendly event you should definitely check out. Besides that, it will be held at the Utah Motorsports Campus, which is a COVID-safe event space.

Reasons You Should Go to the Beer & Fear Fest

  • Your Kids Can Wear Costumes and Dress Up

Bringing your family to the Beer and Fear Fest festivals is a great way to bond. An excellent way for your kids to enjoy the fear-filled festival is by letting them dress up in spooky costumes.

But you should know that children ages 12 and younger are allowed to wear costumes. Due to safety policies and procedures, those over 12 years of age are not allowed to dress up.

  • There Will Be Different Drinks, Food Stalls, and Merchandise

No festival is complete without killer drinks and food, right? Fortunately, the Beer and Fear Fest has a lineup of fantastic local brewers as well as a hefty amount of imported beer, making this Oktoberfest extra special. Not to mention, the myriad of food available on-site will make your mouth water, making you want to try every food stall available.

And, of course, if you want to take a souvenir home, you’d be happy to know the BFF will have exclusive merchandise to commemorate this month-long event.

  • You’ll Get To Try Ultimate Horror Experiences

As mentioned earlier, the BFF will house a bunch of horror-related musings, such as a haunted walk-thru and monster trucks that will surely fill you with fear and thrill.

However, you should note that some rides are made to scare adults, so make sure you take your kids to friendlier horror spots so they won’t get too terrified, and they’ll still enjoy the horror-themed event.

To top it all off, some of the activities in the event are free, meaning you can get scared as many times as you want. However, the Zombie Paintball or Haunted Walk -Thru will charge for additional tickets, so this is something you should note!

  • You’ll Be in a COVID-Safe Event Space

The Utah Motorsports Campus is a 511-acre COVID-safe event and motorsports facility. Since the event is mostly outdoors, you can enjoy the booze and the spooks safely.

Seeing as it’s an outdoor event, we encourage attendees to bring jackets and umbrellas for changes in the weather.

The Bottom Line: The Beer & Fear Fest is the Event of the Year You’ve Been Dying to Experience

Everybody loves the good ‘ol Oktoberfest events, but imagine squeezing in some spooks to go along with your fizzy brews — UMC has got you covered. This year’s Beer & Fear Fest won’t be like any other — with all the brews and horrors in the event; it’ll surely be a festival you’ll never forget.

Fortunately, it will be held at the Utah Motorsports Campus, which is a COVID-safe event space, so you’ll be happy to know that COVID protocols will surely be in place. We can’t wait to see on October 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, and 24 — our doors open at 4 pm to 10 pm, with an exclusive VIP after party every Saturday from 10 pm to midnight.
