Lucas Oil Off Road Racing and MotoAmerica return to Utah

The action will be wide-open and wall-to-wall this weekend, June 23-25, as both the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship and the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series hit Utah Motorsports Campus.

Wall-to-Wall Action with MotoAmerica and Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series

“Hosting two major racing series on the same weekend constitutes our most ambitious event yet,” said UMC General Manager Willem Geyer. “However, we love nothing better than a good challenge, and we’re confident that our staff will make it great. We’re looking forward to lots of great racing and smiling faces.”

The MotoAmerica races will take place on the 3.048-mile Outer Road Course, with four classes (Motul Superbike, Bazzaz Superstock 1000, Superstock 600 and KTM RC Cup) staging a complete slate of practice, qualifying and racing on both Saturday and Sunday. Support races will include the amazing SRA West Sidecars and the locally-based Utah Sport Bike Association’s Superbike Challenge.

Fans will be able to meet the riders during the Dunlop Motorcycle Tire Autograph Session on Saturday from 12:45 – 1:45 pm, and they can get up close and personal with the teams during the Dunlop Motorcycle Tire Hot Pit Walk on Sunday from 12:40 – 1:40 pm.

The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series will run on UMC’s renowned Off Road Short Course, with six classes (Pro 2, Pro 4, Pro Lite, Pro Buggy, Modified Kart and UTV) competing. Like MotoAmerica, the off-road racers will have a full schedule of practice, qualifying and racing on both Saturday and Sunday.

Utah’s own Diesel Brothers, stars of the Discovery Channel television show, will be Grand Marshals for the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series races, and well-known actress Christina Moore, star of the upcoming movie “Dirt,” will be on hand to sign autographs.

As if that weren’t enough the AMA Supermoto West Series will also be racing on the Supermoto course at the UMC Kart Track until noon on both Saturday and Sunday.

Our youngest fans will enjoy the Kid Zone, which will include a bounce house, Strider Adventure Zone, Yamalube #LeanWithUs selfie station and championship bike display for photos from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm Saturday and Sunday.

The Fast Track Café will be open for lunch both days and the Rodizio Grill will be open for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights as well as Sunday brunch. Also, the UMC Kart Track will be open for kart rentals following the conclusion of Supermoto action on Saturday and Sunday.

Admission on Friday, when both MotoAmerica and the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series will be practicing, is free to everyone. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are priced at only $35/day for adults, with kids 12 and under admitted free of charge. There will be a $5 charge for parking. VIP options and RV parking are also available.
