UTAH MOTORSPORTS CAMPUS PRESENTS

UMC OKTOBERFEST 2020

Our final Oktoberfest weekend is this Saturday, October 24th (Sunday has been canceled due to weather). Our final weekend is Spooktoberfest themed with the following additions to the event:

  • Pumpkin Patch/Painting
  • Vendor Trick or Treating
  • Costumes
  • Hocus Pocus Movie Night
  • Axe Throwing

Come join us for the final weekend of Oktoberfest 2020! It will be a bit chilly so bring blankets, coats, and your party face!

__________________________________________________________________

The inaugural Utah Motorsports Campus Oktoberfest will take place October 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, and 25th (Sunday the 25th has been canceled due to weather), 2020, and will be a family-fun celebration with lots of activities, food, entertainment and fun for everyone! It is open to all ages (but you must be 21 or over to purchase alcohol). Hours will be noon until 9pm on Saturday and noon to 7pm on Sunday.

UMC will be following all COVID-19 state and county guidelines. We are limiting the number of tickets available for each day. All guests will have their temperatures taken at the gate. All staff members will be wearing masks. Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the facility. Staff will be cleaning all areas and touchpoints regularly. Tables, chairs, etc will be spread out thoroughly. Six-foot spacing will be in place for all lines. UMC is a 511-acre venue so we have plenty of space for people to come out and have a great time but also keep their distance from others.

Admission will be free to everyone (But you MUST have a no-cost ticket); there is a $10 per car/motorcycle/etc, per day parking fee. All alcohol drinking attendees MUST purchase a “designated refill” mug, available in a 16-oz or 32-oz size.

Beer vendors will include a variety of 51 different local and regional brews, and we’ll even have (non-alcoholic) dog beer!

Food vendors will offer an a la carte array of delicious food.

There will also be an area for local vendors to sell arts, crafts, and goods. We are currently seeking interested vendors to participate. For information, vendors should click here to fill out our vendor form.

During each day, UMC will offer more fun activities during Oktoberfest than you can possibly participate in! At the UMC Fun Center, we will have our customary Archery Tag, Rival (Nerf) Wars, and Dodgeball. There will also be a variety of activities held once each day such as Bingo, Drift Trike Racing, Keg Bowling, Henna Artists, and more!

We will host two outdoor movie nights. On October 10th we’ll show “How To Train Your Dragon 3” and on October 24th we’ll show “Hocus Pocus.” Bring a blanket and chair. It may get a bit chilly at night!

General entertainment and German-themed entertainment will be plentiful as well.

For those who want to take home a memento, there will be some Oktoberfest-themed merchandise available for purchase!

If you want to bring a crowd and camp onsite for the event, there will be camping facilities available in the West Paddock, Midway, and on the lawn near the Event Center. If you’d like to reserve a spot, you can start the process by clicking here.

We will also welcome fans with dogs! There will be an enclosed dog-run area with water provided for our furry friends (and dog beer, as mentioned above)! Your dog MUST have a free ticket as well to attend. We are only releasing a limited number of dog tickets per event day so if they’re sold out then your furry friend will have to come another day!

We’re looking forward to our inaugural Oktoberfest, and hope all of you will come out for a much-needed celebration!

Oktoberfest FAQ's

Are masks required?

As of 10.13.20 the State of Utah & the Governor’s Office have stated that masks are required for any public gathering. The only time you can remove your mask is when you are in the process of eating and/or taking a drink.

What are the prices for the mugs, drinks, food or merchandise?

All pricing is available and listed on-site.

Why are you not directly refilling the mug I bought?

Due to COVID-19, bartenders cannot directly come in contact with your drinking mug; therefore, you will be given a new cup each time you are served.

Can I bring the mug I already bought from another weekend with me so I don't have to buy another?

Yes! If you’ve already bought a mug from a previous weekend, by all means bring it with you to re-use!

What if there is bad weather?

Unless there is severe wind, rain, or lightning Oktoberfest will continue as planned. If lightning occurs during the event, we will notify guests and ask everyone to wait it out in their cars. Since this is a free entry event, there are no refunds of any kind due to weather.

Some weekends may be a bit chilly. Please bring a jacket or coat just in case!

Can I buy beer without buying an Official UMC Souvenir Mug?

No. In order to buy any type of alcohol, you must first have your ID checked and then purchase an Official UMC Souvenir Mug – each mug comes with the first fill included.

I look way past 21, will you really ID me?

YES! We will ID EVERYONE!

Where can I find a map and schedule for Oktoberfest?

The map and daily schedules will be available at the bottom of this webpage.

What if I'm high risk for catching COVID-19?

If you are in the high risk category of catching COVID-19, we ask that you either refrain from coming OR show up at the beginning of the day.

What is UMC doing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19?

UMC will be following all COVID-19 state and county guidelines. We are limiting the number of tickets available for each day. All guests will have their temperatures taken at the gate. All staff members will be wearing masks. Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the facility. Staff will be cleaning all areas and touchpoints regularly. Tables, chairs, etc will be spread out thoroughly. Six-foot spacing will be in place for all lines. UMC is a 511-acre venue so we have plenty of space for people to come out and have a great time but also keep their distance from others.

I've never been to UMC/Oktoberfest. What should I know?

UMC is a 511-acre event and motorsports facility. Oktoberfest is an all-ages, mostly outdoor, German themed beer and food festival. Since it is mostly outdoors, we highly encourage you to bring jackets, umbrellas, etc just in case.

How much is parking?

There is a $10 per car/motorcycle/etc per day fee.

Can I bring lawn chairs?

Yes, but only lawn chairs and/or blankets. No tents or any other structures are allowed.

Can I get in without a ticket?

NO. Everyone (including dogs) MUST have a ticket in order to enter the facility.

Is there a waiver?

Yes. Your ticket will indicate if you have already accepted the terms of our waiver for you and your group. If your ticket does not indicate that you have accepted our waiver, we will have you sign a waiver on site.

Is outside food or drink allowed?

No, other than you can bring a SEALED bottle of water per person.

Can I attend if I'm not 21?

Yes, this is an all-ages event.

Can I drive the Go-Karts or MiniMotos if I've been drinking?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. NO EXCEPTIONS. It is no different than drinking and driving with your car on a public road. You will be turned away if you have been drinking.

Do I need to print my tickets or can I just have them on my phone?

Either option is great! As long as we can scan the QR code on the ticket then you are good to go!
